Takamasa Hikita(April 8, 1980)
Born in the town of Tottori, in western Japan.
He began to play the trumpet at the age of ten.
He experienced world competition of wind music in college.
After that he went to graduate school to pursue a master's degree in ethnomusicology. During this period, he also started learning Jazz to be a Jazz musician.
He became Van Laar trumpet artist in 2018.
His 1st album “Life with alchemy” in 2020. 2nd album “Resilience -recording in Jakarta vol.1-” in 2024. 3rd album “The Initiative” in 2025.
